Smart Steps for Step-Families Training

The Michigan Healthy Marriage Coalition is pleased to provide our second free two-day
training in the Smart Steps for Step-Families program. This training will equip participants
to use the Smart Steps program to aid step-families in their clientele, church, or community.
Participants of this training will receive a 350+ page leader manual, Power Point slides,
participant handouts and video clips. Lunch will be provided.

The Smart Steps program is a research-based, interactive program used to aid step-families
before and after formation. The program helps families develop skills in communication,
confl ict resolution, stress management, processing feelings as well as other helpful
topics. The Smart Steps program is designed to involve both couples and children ages
6-16.
